Assoimmobiliare welcomes the launch of the public consultation on the partial amendment to the General Urban Development Plan (PGT) and supports its objectives of urban regeneration, high-quality construction, and sustainability. It emphasizes, however, the need to enhance the clarity, consistency, and certainty of the regulations’ application in order to promote effective and sustainable regeneration projects for the city’s development.

The Association’s comments address various aspects of the reform, ranging from the asset segregation of mutual funds to that of internally and externally managed SICAVs/SICAFs, governance issues, redemption mechanisms, and rules governing appointments; they are made in the belief that certain targeted measures could strengthen the overall framework of the legislation.

Confindustria Assoimmobiliare welcomes the enabling act on the reform of building regulations, which is better suited to the modern development needs of our cities and regions. Confindustria Assoimmobiliare addressed the Eighth Committee of the Chamber of Deputies during the review of bills C.1169, C.1562, and C.2181, presenting the real estate industry’s perspective on the issue of housing poverty. The Association presented five actionable proposals to promote the development of social housing, through greater involvement of institutional capital and the removal of current regulatory and tax barriers that limit such participation.

Confindustria Assoimmobiliare participated in the European Commission’s call for evidence for the development of the first European Housing Plan. The call for evidence will be followed by a new public consultation in the second half of 2025.
