Confindustria’s Plan for Sustainable Housing, developed with input from Assoimmobiliare, aims to help match housing supply and demand through measures designed to increase the availability of new affordable housing for low-income workers and other vulnerable segments of the population.
The Plan contains a series of proposals aimed at: removing urban planning obstacles and introducing urban planning incentives for new affordable housing; promoting the redevelopment and enhancement of unused public and private areas and properties; attracting resources from institutional investors; introduce guarantee instruments to engage private savings; promote real estate securitization transactions; introduce specific tax measures for businesses, institutional investors, real estate funds, and individuals who invest in funds or initiatives for the development of affordable housing.
The document also analyzes housing needs across the region, highlighting the need for systemic action to align housing costs with labor productivity.
