The decree-law represents an opportunity to give new impetus to the country’s economy through the administrative and bureaucratic simplifications necessary to access the resources provided by European funding instruments.

However, the measure under consideration does not adequately address the issue of urban planning and building code simplifications essential for the urban regeneration projects that our cities so desperately need. In the hope that the issue of building code simplifications, particularly regarding the Consolidated Building Code and the reorganization of general construction regulations, will be addressed comprehensively in a forthcoming measure, we will focus here only on certain particularly urgent issues relevant to the decree-law in question, which, as mentioned, includes significant simplification measures aimed at expediting procedures for the implementation of the PNRR.
