In 2019, as part of the strategic agreement, the REInnovation program was launched—a three-year initiative focused on economic and financial research and training, promoted by the two organizations with the aim of fostering the evolution and innovation of the real estate sector.

At the heart of the program is the REInnovation Lab, an independent laboratory dedicated to in-depth analysis of real estate industry data and trends, based on the collection, sharing, and analysis of primary data and the partners’ experiences. Within the Lab, using a shared database, the partners have refined their interpretation of current and future market trends and the factors influencing market values. They also examined the socioeconomic changes that have shaped business models, with the aim of developing assessments and interpretations of the innovations underway in the sector, including digitalization, the use of big data, and the evolution of fintech technologies.

The creation of the Lab is based on a dual principle shared by the promoters and Partners: on the one hand, it was believed that the introduction of innovative techniques for data collection and processing, combined with dialogue among industry players, was crucial for developing strategies capable of responding to market transformations and achieving corporate objectives; on the other hand, it was recognized that the sharing of data, experiences, and analytical perspectives represents a fundamental value for increasing knowledge of the real estate market, thereby improving its transparency and reputation.

The partners of the REInnovation Lab were: BNP Paribas Real Estate Italy, CBRE, Colliers International, Cushman & Wakefield, Deloitte, Duff & Phelps, Generali Real Estate, GVA Redilco, JLL, PwC, and Sigest.

The Scientific Committee of the REInnovation Lab included: Alessandro Gavazza (London School of Economics), Enrico Moretti (University of California, Berkeley), Andrea Sironi (Bocconi University), and Francesco Zollino (Bank of Italy).

In parallel with the Lab, the REInnovation Academy was established, a management and economic-financial training program aimed at young graduates interested in entering the real estate sector and at junior professionals—including those already employed by the Academy’s partner companies—on whom the companies have focused to foster professional growth.

The training program was designed in collaboration with the heads of the partner companies, who contributed through practical sessions during the Business Simulation and Managerial Experience modules. The Academy was led by Andrea Beltratti (PhD from Yale, Full Professor of Political Economy) and Alessia Bezzecchi (Associate Professor of Practice in Corporate Finance & Real Estate) at SDA Bocconi.

The partners of the three-year REInnovation Academy program were: Allianz Real Estate, Antirion Sgr, Avalon, Blue SGR, CACEIS Bank Italy Branch, Capital Partner, Casavo, Cattolica Assicurazioni, CBRE, COIMA, Credit Suisse, DeA Capital, DILS, Dove Vivo, Duff & Phelps, Generali Real Estate, GWM Holding, HIND, Hines, HOPE Sicaf Retail, Kroll Advisory, Milano Fiori, Praxi, Prelios, REMAX, Risanamento, Sensible Capital, YARD REAS, and Zenith Service.
