Proceedings of the conference "Piano Casa Italia. The proposals of Confindustria Assoimmobiliare"

A conference titled “Piano Casa Italia: Proposals from Confindustria Assoimmobiliare” was held this morning in Rome. During the event, Confindustria Assoimmobiliare presented eight proposals for the residential sector with the aim of contributing to the development of public housing policies that take into account, in a comprehensive and integrated manner, the various regulatory, fiscal, and urban planning aspects that impact the development of housing supply in our country.

The proceedings, moderated by Paola Dezza of Il Sole 24 Ore, were opened by the President of Confindustria Assoimmobiliare, Davide Albertini Petroni, and by the Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Economy and Finance, Hon. Federico Freni, who spoke via a video message.

Raoul Ravara, President of the Association’s Residential Committee, presented an analysis of the residential market in Italy, highlighting the structural causes of the gap between supply and demand. Following this, the Association’s proposals for the development of housing supply were outlined. Roberto Schiavelli, President of the Regulatory Committee, presented proposals for the innovation of investment and financing instruments; Giuseppe Andrea Giannantonio, President of the Taxation Working Group, presented the reforms developed in the tax sphere; Guido Alberto Inzaghi, President of the Urban Planning Working Group, outlined proposals for updating the urban planning regulatory framework.

The second part of the conference featured a roundtable discussion with the participation of Hon. Marco Osnato, Chair of the Chamber of Deputies’ Finance Committee; Hon. Paola De Micheli, Chamber of Deputies’ Productive Activities Committee; Hon. Alessandro Cattaneo, Chamber of Deputies’ Transport Committee; and Sen. Roberto Rosso, Senate Environment Committee.

The proceedings were concluded by President Albertini Petroni, the Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Economy and Finance, Hon. Lucia Albano, and the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Sen. Matteo Salvini.
