Events and Conferences

The conference, organized by the Credit Committee of Confindustria Assoimmobiliare and chaired by Mario Lisanti (LMS Studio Legale), was held in Rome at the offices of Gianni & Origoni under the title “Credit Funds in the Real Estate Sector: Opportunities and Potential Reforms.”

The conference was opened by Davide Albertini Petroni, President of Confindustria Assoimmobiliare, and with remarks by Giuseppe De Simone, Co-Managing Partner of GOP.

During the proceedings, the growing role of credit funds in financing the real estate sector emerged, particularly in light of comparisons with major European legal systems and the traditional banking sector. Particular attention was given to the evolution of the regulatory and tax framework, with a focus on the transposition of Directive (EU) 2024/927 (AIFMD II).

The closing remarks were delivered by Hon. Marco Osnato, Chairman of the Finance Committee of the Chamber of Deputies, who emphasized the importance of innovative financial instruments in supporting the growth of the sector and the real economy.

The first session explored the role of credit funds as an alternative to the banking sector, featuring presentations by Umberto Di Giorgio (BNP Paribas), Paolo Lia (DeA Capital Real Estate SGR), Silvia Roselli (Savills IM SGR), and Mathilde Vivier (Generali Real Estate), moderated by Giacomo Barbuio (Eastdil Secured).

The second panel analyzed the civil and regulatory framework, with presentations by Gian Luca Coggiola (PedersoliGattai), Edoardo Galeotti (Dentons), and Ilaria Laureti (Gianni & Origoni), moderated by Giuseppe De Simone.

The closing session addressed the tax regime for credit funds, with contributions from Luca Maria Chieffo (Ashurst), Carlo Andrea Curti (Di Tanno Associati), Fulvio Di Gilio (COIMA RES), and Francesca Staffieri (Gianni & Origoni), moderated by Mario Lisanti, Chairman of the Credit Committee of Assoimmobiliare.
