Real estate investors and the ESG challenge
Confindustria Assoimmobiliare presented the survey “Real estate investors and the ESG challenge” in an event reserved for members and institutional representatives only. Developed by associated companies, the survey aims to map, for the first time, the awareness and maturity of Real Estate companies in evaluating ESG investments. “This survey aims to summarize the thinking of those who find themselves in the role of translating the elements of sustainability into concrete projects. A publication, the first of its kind made in Italy, which gives us an overall view of what has been done and what still needs to be done to shed more light on the ESG concepts applied in the real estate sector”. – thus began the President of Confindustria Assoimmobiliare, Silvia Rovere, during the presentation event.
Confindustria Assoimmobiliare through the Circular Economy Committee, has launched a series of activities aimed at framing the economic value that sustainable investments and ESG can generate for industry and for the country from a business perspective. Therefore, the survey has the objective of shedding light on some sector data, mapping for the first time the maturity of Real Estate companies in integrating ESG in their investments and the sector’s chances of being competitive.
“It is the first survey of what is intended to become a permanent observatory to continue informing the market on how to improve. We are at the beginning of a long but rapidly accelerating transition. Analyzing the data is necessary not only to give operators a complete picture of their positioning in this transition but also to support the institutions in the industrial policy guidelines that will affect the world of real estate finance in the coming years”, concluded Daniele Pronestì.
